Free-play idle game · points only

Your crew works the night shift.

Hire runners, fixers, brokers and engineers, set them on the districts that suit them, and come back to a pile of points. Each season's board is cut from a real Solana mainnet blockhash, so everyone plays the same city and anyone can check it.

01

Seasons run on Solana time.

A season is one Solana epoch, about two days. When mainnet rolls to the next epoch, a new board is cut from the first block of that epoch and every crew starts fresh. Your old runs go to the season board.

02

Four roles, four districts.

Every role earns half again as much on its home district. Districts also carry a seeded multiplier between 0.80 and 1.60, so the same crew earns differently on every board.

03

Crew optimiser.

Simulates your exact crew, board and points forward under three buying strategies and shows which ends highest. The simulation runs purchase by purchase in your browser; nothing is guessed.

Starts from your live game state. Simulation, not a promise.

Eight hours, while you sleep.

Scroll to run tonight's shift with your real crew.

Away earnings run at half rate and stop after eight hours, so coming back still matters.

05

Away projector.

How many points your crew banks while you are gone, with the half-rate night shift and the eight-hour cap. Uses your live rate.

06

Check any season's board.

Type an epoch. Idlecrew reads the first produced block of that epoch from mainnet, hashes its blockhash with SHA-256 and rebuilds the board. If it matches what you played, nobody tilted the city. Public RPC keeps only recent blocks, so the current season always checks; older ones need a season you played here (cached) or an archive node.

07

Signed score cards.

Sign your season score with your wallet (a message signature, not a transaction, free and harmless). Anyone can paste the card here to check the signature with Ed25519 in their own browser.

Season board.

Kept in this browser only. Your crews this season, ranked, next to two reference bots that play the same board for the same time (simulations). Nothing is uploaded.

    09

    How it works.

    1. The board

At each new epoch, the first block's hash is run through SHA-256. Its bytes set each district's type and multiplier.

    2. The crew

Each hire costs 15% more than the last of its role. Output is role rate × district multiplier × home bonus × upgrades.

    3. The night

Close the tab and your crew keeps going at half rate for up to eight hours, worked out from timestamps when you return.

    4. The proof

Seeds are checkable from mainnet, scores can be signed by your wallet, and everything else lives in your browser.

    10

    Questions.

    Can I win anything?

No. Idlecrew is free-play. Points have no value, cannot be bought, sold or withdrawn, and there is no token reward, prize or entry fee of any kind.

Why does it need Solana at all?

For fairness and for fun. A public blockhash is a seed nobody, including us, could pick in advance, so the season board is the same for everyone and anyone can rebuild it. Seasons also follow real epochs.

What does connecting a wallet do?

It shares your public key. Idlecrew derives your crew name and crest from it, shows your SOL balance tier as a cosmetic badge, and lets you sign score cards. It never asks for a transaction or moves anything.

    Is the leaderboard global?

No. It is stored in this browser only, alongside two simulated reference bots. Signed score cards are how you share a result with someone else.

    Where is my progress saved?

In your browser's local storage. Clearing site data resets your crew. A new epoch starts a new season and archives your run to the board.

What happens if mainnet RPC is down?

The game falls back to an offline board marked as such, and switches to the real season board as soon as the seed can be read.
